Financial Conduct Authority Application 

Crystal Cremations Limited, confirms it has achieved authorisation by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under a new rule book for pre-paid funeral plans, which comes into effect today, 29^th July 2022.

Funeral plan providers in the UK must now be regulated by the FCA to continue to sell or carry out funeral plans.

Martin Gundlach , Director Crystal Cremations had the following to say

"I am pleased to confirm that Crystal Cremations has achieved authorisation by the FCA under the new regulatory regime for pre-paid funeral plans, providing all of our existing and new customers security in knowing their funeral plan is held with a trusted and regulated provider.

It was a big undertaking for our small company, probably one of the smallest companies to gain authorisation, which reflects the commitment and professionalism shown by our team, of which I am incredibly proud and grateful. 

As a former Police Officer, I welcomed regulation and the associated laws that will now govern our industry offering security and protection to our customers. 

I am also proud to announce that we have supported other funeral plan providers that were unsuccessful in their application to gain authorisation by taking on their back book of customers and protecting their pre-paid plans"

Is My Funeral Plan Safe ? 

A perfectly good question in the current climate.

I want to reassure all of our customers that your money is held in trust with the appropriate level of solvency to guarantee your Funeral Plans. In line with FCA requirments we have appointed an Actuary how has produced a solvency assessment report (SAR) which demonstrated our trust fund is currently 107% solvent. This shows our customers that we are keeping their money safe and running our business in the manner expected by the FCA.
